Black sheep brother of Pippa’s fiancé – and a very public lovers’ tiff
IT won’t be long before he is rubbing shoulders with royalty at his brother’s wedding.
Yet it seems former reality TV star Spencer Matthews still needs to learn the art of discretion, as these photos of an unseemly public spat with his girlfriend show.
The 27-year-old, whose brother James proposed to Pippa Middleton last week, was seen in a heated argument with model Morgane Robart outside a pub in Chelsea.
The pair angrily snapped and waved their arms at each other, before making up and embracing, as Mr Matthews placed a hand on his girlfriend’s bottom, holding a cigarette in the other.
It was a scene that could have been taken from an episode of Made In Chelsea, E4’s ‘structured reality’ programme that Matthews allegedly quit as a favour to his brother who wanted to avoid the Middletons’ disapproval.
Over several series, Matthews became known for cheating on a string of girlfriends before being exposed in public showdowns staged for the show.
The Old Etonian, who will be brother-in-law to the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister, has previously boasted about taking hard drugs and sleeping with more than 1,000 women. Just last year, he was forced to quit ITV’s I’m A Celebrity after getting hooked on steroids.
His hedge fund manager brother James, 40, plans to marry Miss Middleton next year.
