It’s all over for heiress and Cressie’s DJ brother
WHEN heiress Lydia Forte marries millionaire City banker Dimitri Chandris in September, it will mark a union of two dynasties: her father Sir Rocco’s hotel business and her father-in-law’s £700million cruise fleet and property empire.
Sadly, however, one family member not in the mood to celebrate love is Sir Rocco’s younger daughter Irene, 27, who is secretly nursing a broken heart.
The Oxford graduate and brand manager for her father’s Rocco Forte Hotels has parted company with her long-term boyfriend, Jacobi Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, just weeks before 29-year-old Lydia’s big day in Tuscany, which will be attended by Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and Prince Harry’s former flame Chelsy Davy.
And to make matters worse, the DJ half-brother of Prince Harry’s other ex, Cressida Bonas, has wasted no time in moving on. ‘Irene has recently broken up with Jacobi,’ confirms a friend of Irene’s. ‘He’s now off partying in Ibiza with a Victoria’s Secret model, which isn’t that pleasant for her to see or hear about.’
Unashamedly, Jacobi, 33, has been posting pictures of himself from Ibiza, where he is touring with his DJ group, Housekeeping, throughout the summer.
While he omitted to name any of the beauties pictured on his social media account, he was unable to hide the fact that he has just started following online a string of models, including Naima Bossi, Georgia Salamat and Nicky Thein. The end of her five-year romance will be hard for Irene, who just recently moved Jacobi into her flat in London’s Chelsea, round the corner from where her parents Sir Rocco and Aliai live.
However, it is not the first time the pair have split: they parted ways in 2012, before reuniting two years later.
‘Lydia is a few years older, so she’s the one who can get married first,’ newly single Irene told me at the Hedsor House summer party. ‘I won’t be any time soon.’
