IF YOU CHOSE MOSTLY THREES . . .
you may be coeliac or a hidden coeliac — that’s the increasing number of people who have coeliac disease but don’t know it because they’re either more or less stymptom-free or have been misdiagnosed. This is believed to be a growing sector as doctors’ understanding of gut health and the many presentations of coeliac disease grow. (you may get mouth ulcers or joint pain caused by the irritation gluten is unknowingly having on your immune system.) Don’t stop eating gluten, as above, but see your doctor and ask for a blood test.
See isitcoeliacdisease.co.uk and take their online assessment before you go.
Part three of this series in Tuesday’s Good Health will have more information and insight into hidden coeliacs.
