Daisy’s Strictly centre stage — but Balls takes a back seat

-

THE new series of Strictly Come Dancing hasn’t even started yet, but already ambitious model Daisy Lowe is taking centre stage.

In the advert for the BBC show, which kicks off in two weeks, the 27-year-old brunette stands out from her fellow contestants in a racy red sequin dress while she drapes herself across two armchairs (main picture). So dazzling is her appearance she even puts Will Young, winner of 2002 reality show Pop Idol, in the shade as he sports a far less flamboyant white T-shirt on her left.

Farther out on the sidelines are former singer Louise Redknapp, wife of footballer Jamie, and EastEnders actress Tameka Empson, who both stand at the back in glittery ensembles. Only one contestant seems to know his place: former

Labour minister, Ed Balls (inset, centre), who has acknowledged he’s out of his depth with a series of selfdeprecating snaps. Posting a picture of himself next to TV presenters Laura Whitmore and Ore Oduba (top left), he wrote: ‘But the question is — who has been eating the chips?!’
