Out of the mouths of babes

MANY years ago, when my eldest daughter was three-anda-half, she was terrified of clowns. Trying to get her to attend the Christmas party, I explained there would not be any there, it was just the Sunday School. She proudly told everyone she was going, as there would not be any clowns there — only the vicar!
