GRESHAM Computing is a software company which ensures financial firms’ data is secure. Shares climbed yesterday as the business announced that Imogen Joss will join the board as senior independen­t non-executive director from September.

She is president at Platts, a division of S&P Global and has previously worked at the London Stock Exchange.

Joss, 54, replaces Max Royde, who will step down from the board on September 30.

Gresham shares gained 8.2pc, or 7.5p, to 98.5p.
