SUCCESS? WHAT WOULD BE A FAILURE?
ONE was a music festival marred by suspected drugs deaths and assault allegations, the other a football final that descended into a mass riot.
The T in the Park festival last month and the chaotic Scottish Cup Final in May saw Police Scotland receive a barrage of criticism.
But the force has now been roundly mocked on social media after posting a self-congratulatory tweet about its ‘skills’ in policing both scandal-hit events. The tweet, posted yesterday afternoon, said: ‘Events like @TinthePark & the Scottish Cup Final further demonstrates @PoliceScotland skill in policing major events.’
Twitter user Andrew Gilmour said: ‘You seem to have replaced the word ineptitude for the word skill in your tweet!’
