BASED on the letters and poetry of Rupert Brooke, Verge of Strife sees Jonny Labey (Eastenders), play the esteemed World War One poet. Written by Nick Baldock, the piece looks at the man behind the verse, and sees the dashing Brooke freewheeling his way through the echelons of Edwardian high society, mired in bruising encounters, and clinging to his lofty artistic aims.
