JOSEPH: I’m Alone, No You’re Not (ATO)

POP’S tradition of family bands is being maintained by a wave of indie-girl sister acts. American trio Allison, Meegan and Natalie Closner — aka Joseph — can be added to the list. Their album title may be a bit silly, but their music mixes sublime harmonies with punchy, sun-kissed hooks. White Flag is an urgent pop number, Sweet Dreams a Sixties-slanted melodrama.
