Out of the mouths of babes
We WeRe standing on our local bridge with the grandchildren, evan and esther, overlooking the swollen river after flooding.
We watched all sorts of debris floating by: footballs, a tin chest and cardboard boxes.
I was telling them that the previous day when we had stood on the bridge, we even saw a tV floating by.
‘Oh, yes?’ said esther. ‘What programme was on?’
