EU flagging

NoW the country has voted to leave the eU, what has happened to all those eU flags that have been flown on government and council buildings for so many years?

are small children gathering up the old flags and sending them back to Brussels in the hope of receiving a few euros, like the beer bottles we took back to the off-licence?
