GEORGE CLARKE’S AMAZING BUILDS BY THE SEA, 8PM, CH4

HAVING announced the winner of Shed of the Year last week, architect George Clarke returns to look back on some of his favourite seaside builds. Among them are a Victorian bathing machine in Margate that’s been given a 21stcentury makeover, and a multifunctional beach hut, built for less than £400 in Bournemouth. Plus, he’ll be reminiscing on the project he and craftsman William Hardie undertook, in which the pair took the humble beach hut where no one had taken it before — out to sea.
