Accused of sister’s murder

A MAN appeared in court yesterday accused of murdering his sister.

Fifty-year-old Elizabeth Bowe was discovered with severe injuries at a flat in St Andrews, Fife, around 9pm on Saturday, September 17.

She was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where she died three days later. Yesterday her brother, Charles Gordon, appeared from custody at Dundee Sheriff Court facing a single charge of murder.

He made no plea or declaration during the brief private hearing and his case was continued for further examination.

No application for bail was made and Gordon was remanded in custody ahead of a further hearing next week.
