Under five per cent of fans believe Scottish football is value for money

-

A SURVEY has revealed that less than five per cent of Scottish football fans believe our game is good value for money. Supporters Direct Scotland announced the results of the Scottish Football Supporters Survey 2016 last night — with over 14,000 fans taking part. When asked about admission and ticket prices, 69.73 per cent felt Scottish football represented either poor or very poor value, with just 4.54 per cent believing it to be good value. Participants were in favour of a controlled pilot scheme to consider the reintroduction of alcohol in stadiums, with 67 per cent in favour, while over 80 per cent were also in favour of adopting Financial Fair Play. Head of Supporters Direct Scotland Andrew Jenkin said: ‘In order to ensure the survey isn’t just a talking shop, we will be presenting these results to the game’s governing bodies.’ SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster said: ‘We will continue to do everything we can to look after our fans.’
