Bayer takeover payday

Stanley is in line to pocket a record £100m from the mega-merger between Monsanto and Bayer.

The Wall Street bank has been acting for uS chemicals giant Monsanto in the £54bn deal, which will see it acquired by its German rival. Regulatory documents show Morgan Stanley will get nearly £79m even if the deal is blocked. If it collects the full amount, this will be the largest fee paid to a bank acting for a firm being bought.
