DIRECTORS at specialist mortgage lender OneSavings Bank missed out on £150,000 after mistiming the sale of their shares by hours.

On Monday, commercial director Jens Bech sold 275,000 shares in the firm at 313p, while chief financial officer April Talintyre offloaded 200,000. Christine Eastgate, wife of sales and marketing director John Eastgate, sold 200,022 and Katharine Kornitzer, wife of the group chief operating officer Clive Kornitzer, parted with 147,054.

The group pocketed almost £2.6m. If they waited until the next day, when the bank’s share price leapt 6pc to 335p after broker RBC upped its rating on the stock, they could have taken home £2.75m.
