ROGER Daltrey sang ‘I hope I die before I get old’ in The Who’s 1965 hit My Generation, but he appears to be finding his later years rather enjoyable after all.

The rock star, who turns 73 next week, was spotted soaking up the sun in Palm Beach, Florida, over the weekend, sporting a pair of colourful swimming trunks and an impressive tan.

Instead of flip-flops, he opted for fashionable New Balance trainers teamed with sensible white socks.

Now a herbal tea-drinking advocate for healthy living, former hellraiser Daltrey s ettled down on his sunlounger to read P G Wodehouse’s Thirties comic novel Laughing Gas.
