THIS IS WHAT 51 LOOKS LIKE
Sharon Green, 51, is a housewife. She lives in essex with her husband Gary and daughters Chloe, 27, Bianca, 25, and Courtney, 21.
DITCH THE HAIRDRYER I RARELY style my own hair any more. Instead I treat myself to two blow dries a week at my local salon. It saves time and makes my hair look thicker and glossier than when I do it myself. To maintain my style between washes, I use Charles Worthington Diamond Shine hairspray (£6.99, boots.com), which tops up the shine.
NEVER SIT DOWN
I HAVE a busy household with three children and a dog and I find I never sit down — which is my secret to staying young and active. Continually running after the dog and looking after my daughters keeps me fit. It means I don’t have to waste hours at the gym to maintain my size 10 figure.
FAKE TAN — EVEN IN WINTER
A GOLDEN glow is the easiest way to youthful-looking skin, so I always use fake tan — even in winter. St Tropez Express Advanced Bronzing Mousse (£33, sttropeztan.co.uk) works brilliantly to give a hint of colour without looking too overdone. I use a mitt to apply it to my face and body, and find I need less make-up when I wear it — just a bit of mascara.
EAT WHITE FOOD ONLY
IT MAY sound mad, but my favourite foods, and the ones I eat the most, are largely white. From bananas to eggs, plain-coloured foods don’t stain my teeth and are often much more healthy, as most are either protein or fruit. I also tend to graze throughout the day rather than eat proper meals, which I find helps to keep my weight down.
SHOP ONLINE!
I FIND it the best way to shop. I love the stress-free experience of scrolling through websites in the comfort of my living room. I shop everywhere, from Asos to Net-a-Porter, order too much, then try clothes on at home and find out what suits me. I must be doing something right, as my daughters always borrow my clothes!
