High maintenance, the hairy 10-week-old

- Daily Mail Reporter

SPENDING two and a half hours a day on your hair might seem excessive, unless you are a model or a film star.

But that is how long Amelia Lunn’s locks take to keep in shape – even though she is only ten weeks old.

Born with a full head of auburn hair, her daily pampering routine starts with having oil applied to her scalp, which is left on for two hours. Her hair is then washed twice by her mother, Kayleigh Marsh, before being blow-dried.

Miss Marsh, 22, who also has daughter Megan, three, brushes her baby’s hair dozens of times a day. She says it was a shock when Amelia was born but she, too, had a full head of hair at birth.

Miss Marsh, of Nuneaton, Warwickshire, said: ‘The midwife commented on it as soon as her head came out but we couldn’t believe it when she was placed on my chest. She takes after her mum. Since the day she was born it’s kept growing. We’ll have to book her in for her first trim.’

Because Amelia’s hair can assume a mohican style when wet, her father Jonathan Lunn, 28, has nicknamed her Mr T after the A-Team actor.

Miss Marsh said: ‘She absolutely loves being pampered. Her little face when she’s having her hair washed and blow-dried is so cute. I dread to think what she’ll be like when she’s older. She’s going to be so high maintenance.

‘Everywhere we go, people are stunned by Amelia’s hair. I don’t think anyone has ever seen a baby with so much hair before.’
