Teen films slaughter of boy, 9, and posts it on ‘dark web’

A TEENAGE double killer butchered his nine-year-old neighbour and shared photographs of the bloody murder with an audience on the ‘dark web’.

Marcel Hesse, 19, stabbed youngster Jaden more than 40 times in a frenzied knife attack before he left the boy in a ‘lake of his own blood’.

The killer, who later posted selfies brandishing a knife with blood-stained hands, gave himself up four days later in a Greek restaurant in his German hometown.

Police were then led to a burning flat in Dortmund where the body of his college friend, 22, was found with 68 stab wounds. Hesse uploaded graphic pictures of his handiwork on the so-called ‘dark web’ – the hidden online world where users’ actions cannot easily be monitored.

One user – who claimed to know the killer – was upset by the images of the little boy and told police: ‘I have just seen a boy murdered on the internet.’

German police, who have not released full names of the victims, yesterday said the scrawny teen had confessed to both murders. Reporters were told Hesse wanted to kill himself after being rejected for a job. But after failing to commit suicide, the martial arts fanatic murdered his neighbour before fleeing to a friend’s apartment.

He killed his second victim – named only as Christopher W – after he threatened to report him, police said. On Thursday night the double-killer walked into a fast-food outlet in his home town – carrying an umbrella and a sack of onions – before telling staff: ‘I am the man they are looking for.’

Gregor Lange, police president of Dortmund, yesterday described the teen as a ‘brutal killer’. Hesse had lured Jaden to his death on Monday after asking the boy’s parents if he could help him at the home he shared with his sister.

The boy’s stepfather Pascal, 34, later found his body in the cellar after he did not return for dinner two hours later. He said: ‘The picture of my stepson lying there dead... I will never forget this. I found him lying in a giant lake of his own blood. I wanted to give him a massage on his heart but blood was streaming from his wounds.’

Hesse – who was reportedly rejected from the German army for being too unstable – filmed the boy’s murder and posted the evidence online.

The teen had lived in the house where he killed Jaden for many years with his parents, but he was living with his sister Sandra after his mother and father moved away earlier in the year. Jaden’s mother, Jeanette F, 41, told the Bild newspaper: ‘Sandy told us once that her brother was an absolute psycho.’ Reinhard Peters, lawyer for Jaden’s family, yesterday said: ‘The family is relieved that he has been captured alive to await the full punishment of the law.’ He said ‘people only thought of him as a nut-job and withdrawn nobody’.

Murder squad detectives were also investigating if Hesse may have killed another person.

The killer is understood to have boasted on an internet chat room that he had attacked a woman, adding: ‘She offered more resistance than the child.’
