Living in different worlds

-

We appear to be living in parallel universes — the one according to Nicola Sturgeon and the other, the real world!

We were told by Miss Sturgeon yesterday that the 2014 independence referendum was a very positive experience for Scots. eh? She is delusional and lives in a propaganda bubble. It was the exact opposite.

It caused divisions in families, has affected the relationship with our friends south of the Border and raised the ugly head of nationalist hatred never experienced before in Scotland. We all knew what we were voting for in Brexit yet she assumes we were misled.

everyone had their own particular reasons for voting the way they did and the result was accepted by the UK Government. That is what democracy is all about.

But she seems to have swept her own 600-page White Paper published prior to the last referendum under the Bute house carpet. It was so flawed and full of serious inaccuracies that if Scots had fallen for all the fanciful claims it contained we would have been well over the cliff and into an abyss by now.

The First Minister has been forced down a one-way street by her party zealots and she relies too heavily on her army of spin doctors. But she must also take a step back and listen to the people of Scotland. her own future lies in their hands. Instead of furthering her campaign, the backroom boys she so obviously depends on are turning her into a subject of scorn and ridicule and she is losing the respect of the very people who voted her and her party into power.
