LOVES DANCING NUDE TO CELEBRATE NATURE
BEFORE making her name on Countryfile and Springwatch, wildlife poster girl Kate Humble worked as a model and even starred in a nude scene for a TV series at the age of 22.
The experience seemed to stick: Humble has an unlikely passion for naturism and says one of her favourite activities is ‘dancing naked in the sun’.
‘I do like taking my clothes off and feeling at one with nature,’ she admitted in 2014.
‘Sometimes I get completely overwhelmed by the beauty of the environment around me and it just seems the most natural way to experience it. If you’re in a very beautiful place there is something very celebratory about having a little nudey dance.’
She added: ‘There’s something joyous about it and I urge everyone to try it. My husband and I danced naked in the middle of the desert in Jordan once.’
The wholesome presenter, 48, made headlines in 2013 when she revealed she had lived in a London squat as a teenager, surviving on ‘crisps, air and illegal drugs’.
She has always been vocal about her decision not to have children, a desire she says she felt aged 14. ‘My maternal gene is missing,’ she has admitted. ‘If I had wanted them, I would have tried to have them, but I didn’t.’
Instead, she and husband Ludo, who live on a farm in Monmouthshire, keep chickens, ducks, geese, sheep, goats, dogs and pigs.
