How odd! Ivanka’s £500 brass earrings
SHE has stepped away from running her fashion brand to work as an adviser to her father.
But it seems Ivanka Trump is still keen to make a style statement, which she has demonstrated on her first overseas trip in the role.
The 35-year-old chose a pair of eyecatching mismatched earrings and an elegant white dress for a gala dinner at Deutsche Bank in Berlin on Tuesday.
The £492 asymmetrical earrings came from Italian luxury fashion label Marni. They tap into an increasingly popular trend among the fashion set for earrings that do not match.
The larger of the two earrings, which are made from glass stone, brass and rhinestones, was more than 4in long.
Miss Trump, who is on her first trip to Germany as an official adviser to President Trump, earlier made her debut at a debate alongside a panel including chancellor Angela Merkel, IMF chief Christine Lagarde and Canadian foreign minister Chrystia Freeland.
At the dinner, President Trump’s daughter sat next to chancellor Merkel, who was also wearing white, and the pair happily posed for photos.
Outside the building, however, there was a peaceful protest against her father’s policies and her appointment as adviser, with demonstrators carrying placards reading ‘No to nepotism’.
She was invited to Germany by chancellor Merkel to participate in the Women20 summit, an international event promoting economic empowerment for women.
