Hypocrite Tom and Labour’s own ‘rich list’

- Andrew Pierce

Stoking up the class war, Labour’s deputy leader tom Watson condemned the fact so many millionaires on the latest Sunday times Rich List are tory donors.

Watson says at least 28 of the top 100 individuals or families had given money.

‘the fact that nearly a third of the Uk’s 100 richest people have given money to the tories tells you all you need to know about where theresa May’s priorities lie,’ says Watson. ‘She claims to speak for working people, but she’s beholden to the billionaires that bankroll her party.’

What Watson failed to mention, however, is that Harry Potter author Jk Rowling is also in the top 100 of the Rich List — she has given £1 million to Labour and donated £4,000 to Watson’s deputy leadership campaign.

nor did he tell of property developer Sir David garrard — who is close to Watson, lending Labour £2.3 million. He also omitted to mention motor-racing tycoon Max Mosley, son of the Fascist thirties blackshirt leader Sir oswald, who in the past year has given a mere £500,000 to support Watson in his work.

Nothing like selective memory and hypocrisy when it comes to Labour and money.

UKIP leader Paul Nuttall got a call on a radio phonein from Tony Madge, leader of the Ukip group on Tamworth Council, resigning as a parliamentary candidate, saying: ‘We have had infighting, two leadership elections and the farcical by-election in Stoke.’ The loser at Stoke? paul Nuttall.

WHEN Labour launched its election campaign, Comrade Corbyn was introduced by Broadchurch star Julie Hesmondhalgh, who’d said in 2015 after he was elected: ‘We are not going to win the tory vote nor should we try to.’ Labour candidates in marginal seats will thank her for that.
