Rolf, 87, is free after less than three years in prison

ROLF HARRIS returned to his £5million home yesterday after serving almost three years in jail.

The 87-year-old entertaine­r left HMP Stafford as dawn broke and was later was driven into his riverside property in Bray, Berkshire.

A man with his face covered guarded the front gate as Harris walked slowly into his home wearing a denim jacket, blue trousers and brown shoes. Among his belongings later taken into his house were a collection of Australian stamps, a toothbrush and toothpaste.

It was not known if Alwen, his wife of nearly 60 years, was waiting for him inside. She is believed to have been in ill health in recent weeks. Shortly after Harris’s arrival, windows at the back of his home were covered up with

pieces of wood. Harris, who served almost three years in prison after conviction­s in July 2014, was released while he is in the middle of a separate child sex abuse trial.

He has been granted bail over his current charges, meaning he will be able to appear in person when his indecent assault trial resumes on Monday at Southwark Crown Court. He had previously appeared by video link.

Harris is accused of sex attacks against three girls aged 13 to 16 at TV shows and a youth music festival in the 1970s and 1980s.

The Australian is said to have had an ‘appetite for sexually touching young females’.

One alleged attack took place in 1971 when Harris is accused of preying on a 14-year-old at a youth music festival in London’s West End. He is also accused of molesting a 13year-old girl at the BBC Television Studios in 1983.On another occasion he is alleged to have fondled a 16-year-old during filming of a TV show in Cambridge. Harris denies four counts of indecent assault.
