Depp and Amber split ‘because he was jealous over nude role’
JOHNNY Depp’s marriage to Amber Heard collapsed because he was ‘jealous’ about her racy, nude role in an unreleased film, a new lawsuit claims.
The movie’s producers are suing the 31-year-old actress for £7.7million ($10million), alleging she refused to promote the film and ‘falsely’ claimed she had not contractually agreed to nudity.
Miss Heard was due to play Nicola Six, a promiscuous psychic, in the film based on the Martin Amis novel London Fields.
But Pirates of the Caribbean star Depp, 53, pressured her to turn her back on the role because he was extremely jealous, according to court documents filed by producer Christopher Hanley.
Miss Heard, who split from Depp a year ago amid accusations of domestic abuse, alleged in a countersuit filed in Los Angeles that the producers used a body double to shoot ‘pornographic’ sex scenes and add them in.
In response, the producers’ statement claimed she had initially embraced the sex scenes, stating: ‘Heard’s misconduct... might have resulted, at least in part, from her tumultuous relationship with Mr Depp.’
‘The provocative nature of Heard’s femme fatale role in the film was a factor leading to her divorce,’ it added, according to the New York Post.
A spokesman for Depp branded the statements ‘ridiculous’, saying: ‘The dispute between the producers and Amber Heard has nothing to do with Johnny Depp.’
