Shamed Harris spotted out as he signs sex offenders’ register

- By Chris Greenwood

DISGRACED entertainer Rolf Harris has been spotted in public for the first time since his prison release – outside a police station.

The 87-year-old is believed to have been signing the sex offender register after his 2014 conviction for indecent assaults on four young girls.

Harris appeared at Windsor police station wearing paint-spattered trousers, suggesting he has returned to painting.

Last month he was released halfway through a sentence of five years and nine months after a jury failed to agree a verdict in a separate indecent assault trial.

The former Animal Hospital presenter arrived in a silver car and was taken into a back entrance before spending two hours inside.

He appeared in good health, despite a diabetic episode in December that saw him taken to hospital for scans and an X-ray.

It has been claimed Harris is planning a tell-all memoir about his time behind bars. Although he will not be able to profit from his crimes in the UK, the book could be released in his native Australia. It is thought Harris will write about the effect of the convictions on him and his wife of 59 years, Alwen, who has stood by him.

He is also said to be keen to record an album of songs written in jail as he prepares an appeal against his convictions for attacks on children, the youngest of which was eight.

Harris’s lawyer has already branded them money-hungry ‘false victims’ who are desperate to get part of his £11 million fortune.
