Tough times in Call Me Dave’s shepherd’s hut

-

SPARE a thought for David Cameron as he tries to write his memoirs. The former Prime Minister tells me he is struggling with his new career.

‘Writing is proving to be very hard work — harder than I anticipated,’ he sighs at a party in St James’s, London.

‘I now have enormous regard for anyone who can do it.

‘You have to do 200 or 300 words a day — 400, 500, maybe even 1,000!’ Cameron spent £25,000 on a designer shepherd’s hut in his Oxfordshire garden where he can write in peace and he says it’s certainly aiding the creative process.

‘The shed is proving to be immensely helpful. No regrets.’

He adds that he knows what the book will be called.

‘I have got a title now, but I’m not going to tell you.’

How about ‘Dave, The Chillaxing Prime Minister’?
