RANGERS: Progres Niederkorn (Luxembourg)

Home: Stade Jos Haupert.

Capacity: 4,830. Progres Niederkorn have never won a European match and last scored on the continent in a 1-1 home draw with Irish side Glentoran in the 1981-82 European Cup. Their last silverware was their league triumph 36 years ago but they finished fourth in the Luxembourg National Division last season to qualify for the Europa League. Managed by Olivier Ciancanell­i, their squad includes former Hearts and Kilmarnock defender Ismael Bouzid, who had an unsuccessf­ul trial at Rangers in 2014.

ST JOHNSTONE: Trakai (Lithuania)

Home: LFF Stadium.

Capacity: 5,400. Founded in 2005, Trakai have never won a major honour in Lithuanian football. They finished as runners-up to Zalgiris Vilnius last season to qualify for the Europa League. They play in the Lithuanian Football Federation Stadium in Vilnius where Scotland will face Lithuania in a World Cup qualifier on September 1. Their captain Deividas Cesnauskis was at Hearts during the Vladimir Romanov era.

ABERDEEN: Ordabasy Shymkent (Kazakhstan)

Home: Kazhimukan Munaitpaso­v Stadium.

Capacity: 37,000. Shymkent is a nightmaris­h 4,340 miles (and 12-hour flight) from Aberdeen. Up until 20 years ago, the club played in the Asian Cup Winners Cup. Formed in 2000, from the merger of FC Zhiger and FC Tomiris, Ordabasy finished fourth in the Kazakhstan Premier League last season but have never gone past the second round of qualifying for the Europa League.

OR Siroki Brijeg (Bosnia & Hertzigovi­na)

Home: Pecara Stadium.

Capacity: 7,000. Founded in 1948, the Bosnian side won promotion to the top flight in 2000 and have twice been crowned champions. Based 15 miles from Mostar, they finished seventh last season but qualified for the Europa League as winners of the Bosnian Cup.
