Irn-Bru is ours... and I will drink to that!
STOP all the clocks. Irn-Bru isn’t Scottish. It was first invented in the US, under the suspiciously similar title Iron Brew. A nation mourns. But does it? Whether it was invented here or not, Scots have made Irn-Bru their own, much like haggis, Scotch eggs, and prattling on about independence on social media sites.
It may not have been made originally in Scotland, but as long as it’s still made from girders, I doubt we’ll stop drinking it.
