Every year whales are beached on Scottish shores because offshore windfarms and underwater drilling confuse their delicate sonars, while increasing numbers are becoming entangled in fishing gear. Now it seems we are killing them with our household refuse, too.

What a shameful way to treat this most graceful and intelligent sea mammal.
