Crocodile rocker’s lizard party style

HIS famously flamboyant stage costumes, such as the 1973 white feathertrimmed suit and rhinestone-encrusted glasses, belong to an era long gone — but Sir Elton John’s love of flashy accoutrements remains.

The 70-year-old singer couldn’t resist adding some sparkle to his plain navy suit at the annual Elton John Aids Foundation gala in Windsor this week.

The Candle In The Wind singer ensured all eyes were on him as he adorned his outfit with a multi-coloured lizard brooch and psychedelic shoes, putting 52-yearold actress Elizabeth Hurley — and her strapless Elie Saab dress — in the shade.

‘I would never in a million years give Elton any style tips,’ says his husband David Furnish.

‘He’s his own person, and I’m my own person, and we both love fashion but we do our own thing.’
