CYBER CLARITY Banks will be forced to come clean over major security breaches and cyber-attacks under rules proposed by the City watchdog. It is part of a package of proposals outlined by the Financial

Conduct Authority to make it easier for customers to compare services offered by different banks.

SPACE BOOST Warehouse owner Segro said a shortage of warehouse space helped profits rise 23pc – as retailers hunt out more space to store their goods due to the growth in internet shopping. Profits came in at £91.2m for the half year ending in June 30, compared to £74.2m for the same period last year.

TV DEMAND Noel Edmonds is demanding £300m from Lloyds over claims that criminal bankers at HBOS’s Reading branch wrecked his business in 2007. A Lloyds spokesman said: ‘We are determined to compensate customers appropriately, swiftly and as fairly as possible.’
