Snooker Ronnie’s girl hid in freezer

ACTRESS Laila Rouass hid in a restaurant freezer when she was caught in the terror attack.

The partner of snooker star, Ronnie O’Sullivan, updated her Twitter followers while the drama unfolded.

Miss Rouass, 46, who has appeared in Footballer­s Wives and Holby City, wrote: ‘In the middle of the attack.

‘Hiding in a restaurant freezer. Happened so fast. Praying for the safety of everyone here.’

Updating her 22,000 Twitter followers, she later wrote: ‘Gunshots just heard. Armed police running down the street looking for someone.

‘The whole of #lasRamblas and surroundin­g roads in lock down with armed police everywhere.’

She added: ‘Driver of Ford Focus has been shot dead. Another car ploughed police I am being told.’

Mrs Rouass then thanked res- taurant staff ‘for staying calm’ and keeping them safe. ‘I love you Barcelona’, she added.

Her friend, actor Douglas Henshall responded to her messages and asked her to ‘stay safe’.

Hollyoaks actor Ben Richards also tweeted: ‘Just read that my buddy Laila Rouass got caught up in the #barcelonaa­ttack, glad she is safe now x’.

‘You’re almost certainly safe but keep phone silent. Police securing the area xxx,’ another said.

Miss Rouass is an actress best known for her roles in Spooks, Footballer­s Wives and Holby City. She appeared in Strictly Come Dancing in 2009, in which she was partnered with Anton Du Beke.

In 1990 she married Abdeslam Rouass but they divorced in 2003. She then met one of Britain’s richest young entreprene­urs, Nasa Khan, with whom she has daughter Inez.

Following their split she dated Scottish chef, James Petrie, before meeting Ronnie O’Sullivan.
