- By Xantha Leatham

HE’S been away for more than two months while he tackled his addiction to painkillers.

Now Ant McPartlin has been reunited with wife Lisa Armstrong at their £5million West London home.

They have reportedly been fighting to save their marriage after McPartlin, 41, admitted he had put his wife ‘through hell with mood swings and depression’.

The ITV presenter, who has a fortune of £60million, spent eight weeks at a London rehab clinic, during which time Miss Armstrong could not visit him.

He then went to Newcastle to spend time with his mother Christine, who is now said to have moved into his London house – near the home of co-presenter Declan Donnelly – to help out while makeup artist Miss Armstrong, 40, works on Strictly Come Dancing.

McPartlin’s problems with prescription painkiller tramadol began when an operation on his right knee went wrong two years ago.

At the height of his addiction problems, the Britain’s Got Talent host was rushed to hospital in a druginduced ‘psychosis’ after taking tramadol, morphine and alcohol.

When he come out of rehab a week ago, McPartlin admitted that his 11-year marriage to Miss Armstrong faced problems.

He told The Sun on Sunday: ‘Time will tell. This kind of stuff puts strains on any marriage.’
