Is this girl Britain’s pickiest singleton?

She’s had 77 first dates and rates them all out of 20 on a spreadsheet ... but Anna still can’t find Mr Right

IN the search for Mr Right, most women have a general idea of the sort of man they might get along with.

But one singleton is a little more specific in her quest for love.

Anna Heaton, 29, rates all her first dates out of 20 on a spreadsheet, judging them on criteria including looks, personality and the ‘spark’ between them.

But her mark scheme is so strict that none of the romances have progressed very far – and she’s now been on almost 80 first dates in just two years.

Miss Heaton says she wants to find The One before her 30th birthday in May, but she won’t settle for anyone who is less than perfect.

The project manager, from Battersea in south-west London, became single two years ago and since then has been on 77 first dates, which is roughly one every ten days.

She says she’s tried every method of meeting a man, including dating apps such as Tinder and Bumble, blind dates set up by friends, men chosen by her mother – and even going on ITV show Take Me Out.

The spreadsheet started as a joke among her work friends but soon became a strict rating process.

Miss Heaton admits she is ‘very picky’, explaining: ‘He’s got to be tall with a rugby player physique.

‘I like a posh boy with a pink shirt, nicely dressed and someone that doesn’t take themselves too seriously.

‘I can’t stand a man without a sense of humour.’

She added: ‘It makes me sound neurotic, but I would rather be alone for the rest of my life than be with the wrong person. I just want to find that one person.’

Miss Heaton appeared on Take Me Out in April, on which a single man tries to impress a line-up of 30 women and chooses one for a date. She was picked by Neale Smith, 30, from Northampton, but she decided not to take the relationship further after they got back from a trip to Tenerife, which was part of the show.

After mentioning her dating tactics on the programme, she was bombarded with texts from ex-boyfriends who were shocked to hear they had been given ratings on her spreadsheet. Miss Heaton went on her 77th – and unsuccessful – date on Saturday.

She said: ‘It’s always me who ends up not wanting to date more and a lot of them think there is something wrong with me. I know what I’m looking for and I just haven’t found it. I often have a lot in common with them but I just don’t fancy them. I would like to not get to 100 before I turn 30, but that is probably the reality.

‘I’d never settle for anything but the best, but I did think that by 30 I would be o n the verge of being engaged. All my friends are married or have boyfriends and I’m the one that is left.’

‘Must have a rugby player physique’
