NEYMAR URGED TO CLEAN UP HIS ACT

- By JOHN GREECHAN

NEYMAR has been warned that he will never be loved like Lionel Messi — until he cuts out the petulance and play-acting. The Brazilian superstar was booked for dissent after losing the rag when Italian referee Daniele Orsato denied him a free-kick following an extravagant fall to the floor during Tuesday night’s 5-0 win over Celtic for Paris Saint-Germain in Glasgow. And Celtic defender Mikael Lustig, who branded Neymar ‘football’s biggest actor’ earlier this year, believes the £198million man needs to curb his behaviour if he is to be adored by neutrals. ‘I think he’s probably up

there already with Messi and (Cristiano) Ronaldo — he’s so sharp, such an amazing footballer,’ said the Sweden international. ‘But, if he wants to be liked as much as Messi, he needs to stop that. ‘It was the same as usual, though, from Neymar. ‘He is such an unbelievable footballer but we have seen the other stuff before — and we will see it again. ‘I have said before that it’s part of his game. ‘He tries to over-react a bit to make the defender step off. ‘We are going to see it again and again.’ Neymar also appeared to refuse to shake teenage Celtic full-back Anthony Ralston’s hand after the final whistle. However, in what appears to be a goodwill gesture, the world’s most expensive player is to donate his match shirt from Tuesday night to the Marina Dalglish Appeal — the charity set up by Celtic legend Kenny Dalglish and his family in 2005, which focuses on helping those diagnosed with breast cancer.
