Tragedy too intimate to be shared
MY heart goes out to actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers and his wife Mara Lane, who recently lost a baby to miscarriage.
In an attempt to explain why her husband was having an alcohol relapse (he has been in rehab a number of times and was photographed last week ‘staggering around’ Dublin airport), Mara posted a lengthy message on Instagram about the tragic event. Fair enough, and completely understandable. Yet two days later she followed it up with a video showing the moment her doctor informed her the foetus didn’t have a heartbeat.
I understand that the pair are grieving but I wonder if over-sharing such intimate information is an act they will one day live to regret.
