A pill but no respect

THE morning-after pill is now available online to any girl, whatever her age, for just £4.99. This has been hailed as a great step forward, giving women control over their bodies.

Yet I wonder. Won’t this simply encourage young girls to have unprotected casual sex? The terrifying rise of sexually transmitted diseases among the young should give any girl pause for thought. And she should remember that however emancipated she is, the more sexual partners she has, the less men are likely to treat her as a lady.
