Help — I’m too scared to fix my wrinkly eyes!
QIN THE past couple of years the skin around my eyes has started to sag and conceal my upper eyelid. I am too scared to have anything surgical done. Is there a non-surgical procedure that could help?
AIF YOU are experiencing hooded eyes — which is exacerbated by wrinkles and lax skin — it can make you look older than your years.
Sagging skin there creates an illusion of tiredness, no matter how refreshed you feel.
As we age, the forehead descends, causing the eyebrows to lower — which makes the upper eyelids look heavier. This is compounded by the decrease in the amount of collagen and elastin in our skin.
Invariably, a surgical procedure (Blepharoplasty), possibly combined with a brow lift, will deliver excellent results. A non-surgical alternative is a combination treatment, which I call ‘Instant Eyelift’.
It involves a procedure called Thermage eyes, combined with Ultherapy of the brow. Thermage is a non-invasive radio frequency treatment that can treat both the upper and lower eyelids, to both promote new collagen production and stimulate existing collagen.
Fees for Thermage Eyes start from £1,750 and Instant Eyelift from £2,500.
