‘HITLER WAS RIGHT’
REPORTED TO MODERATORS ON AUGUST 1: Extracts of Hitler’s speeches are played over footage of Jewish families being sent to concentration camps and German soldiers marching in this six-minute video. ‘Never lose courage, never despair. Stand up white man and fight for your people,’ the Nazi dictator says. In one of the excerpts of Hitler speaking, he accuses Winston Churchill of being behind a ‘smear campaign’ against Nazi Germany. The faces of business leaders are shown with the Star of David over their foreheads. The video says: ‘It’s now painfully obvious that everything he said about the Jews was 100 per cent spot on true. People from all walks of life are beginning to see the truth.’
BURNING BUSES
REPORTED JULY 12: Footage shows men celebrating the deaths of Shia Muslims, who are described as ‘Kafir’, an Arabic term meaning unbeliever. They are seen chanting in front of buses that are in flames.
CHILD TERRORIST
REPORTED JULY 21: Video of a boy singing over images glorifying terrorism. As the song is played, the footage shows bombs exploding, buildings blowing up and soldiers firing missiles.
PREACHER OF HATE
REPORTED SEPTEMBER 7: A bearded man, who is described as a Saudi Arabian cleric, speaks to the camera. According to the subtitles on the video, he quotes the prophet Mohammed as saying: ‘Whoever changes his religion, kill him.’ He adds: ‘Allah said, “fight the ones who do not believe in Allah”.’
‘KILL THE UNBELIEVERS’
REPORTED SEPTEMBER 18: In a 8-minute video, a preacher speaks of the ‘necessity of Takfir’, the excommunication of Muslims who are deemed to be insufficiently religious, and for offenders to be killed.
HORROR FOOTAGE
REPORTED JULY 12: The dead bodies of adults and children are shown covered in blood on stretchers and on the floor in what appears to be a hospital in Pakistan. The video description says the victims are Shia Muslims.
RECRUITING FOR JIHAD
REPORTED AUGUST 10: In a video titled ‘Prepare for the Khilafah’, the Arabic word for caliphate, a man is heard urging people to join Islamic State.
RACIST RALLY
REPORTED SEPTEMBER 6: The 28-minute video shows a white supremacist rally in Illinois, which appears to have been filmed in 1991. During a speech titled, ‘white revolution’, a man repeatedly gives the Nazi salute.
WHITE POWER
REPORTED SEPTEMBER 6: A Canadian is filmed shouting ‘white power’, and calling a man who is not white a ‘f***ing ***t skin’. He demands to know whether the man was born in Canada.
BREIVIK PROPAGANDA
REPORTED AUGUST 25: Film titled ‘Heil Breivik’ glorifies the 2011 killing of 77 people in Norway by Anders Breivik.
YOUTUBE is today shamed for failing to remove more than 100 extremist videos. A film called ‘Adolf Hitler Was Right’ was still online last night seven weeks after being reported to moderators. Here we examine ten of the vile videos:
