Why Kate’s titanic ego is ‘important for humanity’

-

OSCAR-WINNER Kate Winslet deserves a special award for self-importance. she has declared that her independence of spirit is ‘important for all humanity’.

‘i just can’t do the conforming thing at all in life,’ says the Titanic star. ‘i am not the kind of person who lives by other people’s opinions and judgments. it’s important for humanity and i am lucky i can do that. There are many young women who are so fragile emotionally and who don’t believe in themselves.’

Meanwhile, the Oscar-winning actress, who recently claimed she had not weighed herself for years, but that she had been bullied over her weight in her schooldays, adds: ‘i resent that there is an image of perfection that is getting thinner and thinner. i’ve got a lovely husband and children and i didn’t lose weight to find those things. curves are natural, womanly and real.’
