PSG chief faces probe over bribery allegations
PARIS Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi is the subject of criminal proceedings around the sale of TV rights. Swiss authorities have opened the case against Al-Khelaifi for suspected bribery in connection with their investigation into former FIFA secretarygeneral Jerome Valcke for ‘acts of criminal mismanagement’. The findings concern the awarding of rights for two World Cups to Doha-based beIN Media, a company at which Al-Khelaifi is chief executive. Al-Khelaifi is alleged to have offered ‘undue advantages’ to Valcke for awarding the media rights.
