PSG chief faces probe over bribery allegation­s

PARIS Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi is the subject of criminal proceeding­s around the sale of TV rights. Swiss authoritie­s have opened the case against Al-Khelaifi for suspected bribery in connection with their investigat­ion into former FIFA secretaryg­eneral Jerome Valcke for ‘acts of criminal mismanagem­ent’. The findings concern the awarding of rights for two World Cups to Doha-based beIN Media, a company at which Al-Khelaifi is chief executive. Al-Khelaifi is alleged to have offered ‘undue advantages’ to Valcke for awarding the media rights.
