It’s the end of the road for Ruth on Strictly

SHE’S been a favourite with Strictly Come Dancing fans thanks to her charmingly hapless performances – even falling over at the end of one dance.

But Ruth Langsford’s journey on the show has come to an end as she became the latest celebrity to be kicked off.

The This Morning presenter’s partner Anton Du Beke – who has danced in all 15 series but never won – said the exit was his ‘most difficult so far’ because they have built such a strong friendship.

It was an emotional night for Miss Langsford, 57, who dedicated her foxtrot to her late father and broke down in tears backstage. The judges had said she lacked ‘any style, flair or charisma’ and she and Du Beke, pictured, performed in the dance-off against Jonnie Peacock, while Alexandra Burke and Davood Ghadami were joint at the top of the leaderboard.
