Like Valhalla... with rock

I AM very pleased that Joe McFadden and Susan Calman have got through to the vital stage of Strictly Comes Dancing, where the contestants get to pack their fake tan and tights, and head to the Blackpool ballroom – although Susan, pictured, must be the only Scot who has never been to Blackpool before.

I also love the way that every time one of the contestants say ‘Blackpool’, you feel it could just as easily be ‘Valhalla’.
