Lennon back in the dugout as new manager of Clyde
FORMER St Mirren boss Danny Lennon has been appointed manager of League Two strugglers Clyde. The 48-year-old (pictured), who led the Buddies to League Cup glory in 2013, has been out of the game since May 2016, following a temporary spell in charge of Airdrie. Clyde recently sacked Jim Chapman after just two wins from their opening 12 games and club chairman Norrie Innes said: ‘Danny, in preparation for his interview, attended our game against Stirling Albion and demonstrated his strong desire for the job by presenting his own detailed match analysis. ‘He has a very impressive record and a substantial skill set, which is what we need to develop a stronger structure and positive culture at the club. Danny spoke with passion and intelligence — and welcomes the challenges.’
