Two-week sales lift
ONLINE electricals retailer AO World said it battled tough competition over Christmas to boost sales by 11pc.
The British company said Black Friday sales that stretched over two weeks reeled in extra customers.
Group revenues were up 16.6pc for the three months to December 31, with particularly strong growth in Europe.
Steve Caunce, AO World’s chief executive, said: ‘We are pleased with the double-digit sales growth in our UK business. Our brand is attracting both new and repeat customers in mainland Europe, and customer satisfaction remains high.’
