former hairdresser leslie Cavendish has recalled how he incurred the wrath of John lennon after letting slip to a magazine that the singer’s hair was ‘less thick than the others’. Recalls Cavendish: ‘John phoned and I grovelled, crying, “I’m so sorry”’. To which lennon replied: ‘I should ask you, am I going f***in’ bald? Because you’d better come over straight away and stick it together before it all falls out.’
