Posh’s unlucky ski break – and she’s even had to ditch her towering heels
SHE is known for her love of vertiginous heels. But Victoria Beckham has had to reassess her footwear choices after reportedly breaking a foot during a recent ski holiday.
The 4 -year-old fashion designer was pictured hobbling around on crutches in London yesterday, sporting a less-than-fetching moon boot on her left foot.
The former Spice Girl was forced to balance out the cumbersome grey brace with a black, strappy shoe, which had a barely-there kitten heel, on her other foot.
Mrs Beckham is understood to have broken bones while holidaying in the Canadian resort of Whistler with her husband, David, 42, and their children Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 1 , and six-year-old Harper.
She was not pictured skiing with her family – who all took to the slopes – but is thought to have come a cropper on the ice.
A friend said: ‘Victoria has been told she cannot do any arduous, weight-bearing cardio for at least six weeks, which she isn’t exactly thrilled about.
‘She was in a lot of pain at the time, but isn’t going to let a fracture hold her back. She is already back at work and focusing on forthcoming fashion projects.’
A prolific user of social media, Mrs Beckham has remained strangely silent about how her injury was caused.
The designer, who was pictured wearing high heels on a treadmill last year, has previously spoken of her aversion to flat shoes.
Speaking before she became a convert to exercise, she said: ‘I just can’t concentrate in flats. I could go to the gym if I wore flats. I’d love to go to the gym but I just can’t get my head around the footwear.’
