Channel plugged by Corbyn
JEREMY Corbyn and his frontbench team have appeared on Russia Today on numerous occasions.
The Labour leader even joked in 2011 that RT was ‘more objective’ than most. He tweeted: ‘Try Russia Today. Free of Royal Wedding and more objective on Libya than most.’
Mr Corbyn was also interviewed by RT in 2015, when he was first running for leader of the Labour Party.
Shadow Lord Chancellor Richard Burgon has appeared 11 times, and energy spokesman Barry Gardiner three times, according to research. Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell has appeared twice.
In 2014, Ofcom revealed that in nine years, RT had breached broadcasting rules on ten occasions.
